I am certainly in debt to the community, but I suspect I would hinder more than help. I can see er.extensions.components._private.ERXWOTextField which I understand automatically replaces the webobjects WOTextField class... is this what would need updating? I can't say I would be confident to do so. All components I have worked with have an html file and wod etc.
I have also noticed that Wonder also has ERXWOInput derived from WOInput. Then ERXWOTelField and friends hang off WOInput. I might have expected these to derive from ERXWOTextField...but that may just illustrate my lack of understanding.
