Thanks all. How interesting! I’d never come across using mod_proxy and would echo Paul’s questions.
For the time being I will use direct connect and luckily I have an application level property whether to force SSL redirection or not so can switch that off for development and on for deployment. Still using old java monitor so will upgrade to Wonder’s version and have a look in the migrations panel as you describe.
