Nice find :-)

My guess is that the creator of that enhancement was afraid of breaking someone 
else’s app. Sorting is pervasive and maybe someone relied on the default 
“broken” sorting. 

Go ahead and initialize it and be happy :-) I’ll remember this too for the 
future.
