Damn straight it does! Okay, so get this… You’ve used 3rd party libraries for stuff, right. And then you want to cmd-click on the class, but oops, no sources. Hover that class, sorry, no javadocs… Maybe if you go find all that crap, and include it in your workspace somewhere, and then tell Eclipse where it’s located… maybe when you have lots of time. Right? Maven can just download and manage those for you. FOR EVERYTHING. In seconds! This framework I am converting has 29(!) jars. This one feature is so awesome, I don’t have the words to describe it :D Discovering this now, I wish I started with Maven years ago.
