ok I had to play with this!!!  I am passing the two script files back. I 
altered them to work with my Ubuntu server.

Mark & Ted have tried it out, and I think it basically works. It 
doesn't set up the database layer, but adding a few lines to support 
an RDS connection or even install PostgreSQL on the same host wouldn't 
be hard—let me know if anyone wants to see that.
