You should have no problem building the WO4 adaptor on Linux or
FreeBSD. You might have to modify the makefiles slightly for your
environment.

Be sure to read the html docs with the adaptor.

Subject: mod_WebObjects on Apache/Linux/FreeBSD

I recalled reading somewhere that this has been done before, but I've
attempted a search of the WO archives and couldn't find the relevant
information.

What I would like to do is to do a build of Apache with the mod_webobjects
module to have it deploy on either Linux or FreeBSD.

The WebObjects application will still run on a WO compatible platform like
NT (I would like to go to MacOS X Server) or Solaris.

What I would like to know is whether anyone has attempted that yet
and what
those pitfalls might be.

What I could get from the few documents available so far seem to hint that
one can only do a build for Apache on a platform where PDO exists. Is that
true ?

Any pointers, URLs, email would be appreciated.
