Golive also has some sort of publishing system as well.
Its hard to answer your question because you're being kind of vague.
You need a "web publishing system".
Ok, that's a type of solution. But what's the problem you're trying to solve?
WO can do anything, pretty much. But that's not necessarily the best
way to solve the problem.
Example:
A local restaurant wants to post their menu on their web site. For
some reason, the person they contacted stored all that information in
a database, and generated the web pages dynamically.
The restaurant complained to one of my customers that the person
handling their web site took forever for them to update the menu.
Plus they wanted to charge them $1000/year to host the site.
Since my customer was pretty knowledgeable, he asked: "How often do
you change the menu?"
Answer, 4 times a year...
The restaurant didn't need a dynamically generated web page. They
just needed, 4 times a year, for someone to turn their MS Word
document into HTML.
Going back to your question:
WebObjects is a solution. Golive Publishing System is a solution.
ArticleBase is a solution. NetObjects is a solution. Perl is a
solution. Front Page is a solution.
What's your problem?
