Incidentally, (I don't know they are using Netscape or
NetDynamics for app serving) but according to the current
Internet World, NetDynamics' new version of app server is
now tuned for very high tpm.

"Running on a 64-processor Starfire--the most high-end of
Sun's Solaris servers--NetDynamics executed more than 1,500
Web-to-database transactions and more than 2,600 Web
interactions per second."

Two interesting things about these numbers: 1) the
benchmarking criteria is not published and 2) server pricing
starts at $35,000 per CPU.
