For people building apps in an environment where uploading files is a very
common user task and where it is feasable to distribute a distinct file
upload helper app to the clients it might be helpful to have a look at:
http://bscw.gmd.de/Download/macnative.html (for MacOS)
or
http://bscw.gmd.de/Download/clientex.html (for Win32)
You also may want to take a look at a directory further up
(http://bscw.gmd.de/Download.html) to find more native upoad clients for
other platforms.
Don't forget to read their license agremments.
