First of all, I really applaud the attempt to work on the webpy.org
site. It needs a lot of work and is integral to the adoption
of this framework. My criticism is not as constructive as I would
have liked it to be, so please do not take offense.

I don't prefer this over the past version and the css white background
does not work correctly when the main content is short. Look at :
http://webpy.org/svn
the bottom grey comes over the side menu and looks unprofessional.
This page should have some content on it as well,
but thats another discussion.

This logo is stronger as far as concept, although I think in general
we can do better than an image of snake for a web framework in a
language called python. So, to be fair
I didn't think the cartoon logo was that striking either. Look at the
logo for Ubuntu or Firefox and you have the
direction to aim for. Just for example, I could not sell either of
these logos to any of my clients for their
business so we should aim higher.

This logo is not readable in any sort of way and since it is
integrated into the words, it doesn't have its own space.
For outsiders this will cause problems, and from a marketing
perspective this is a drastic decision that will impact uptake.
take my word for it.

A logo's graphic should be able
to be used without the accompanying text and still make sense, or else
it should be more clearly typographic...compare Ubuntu's logo to
McDoanld's. McDonald's can be used and is integrated into the name,
but it is clearly an M. Ubuntu does not integrate with the text, but
can be used without the text and the concept still rings true.
Please move the snake to the left and spell out web.py. The typography
needs to be stronger as well.
So until then, old logo should stay.

I would like to propose a logo and general guidelines for usage as are
standard in the design industry. Please continue to work away at
this as you integrate everyone's comments and I will email my
contributions to put my money where my mouth is, as soon as I can.
Looking forward to showing the maturity of the framework in its outer
presentation materials.

thank you again for your effort guys, keep iterating!
