On every production (and development) site I have thus created with any framework, I have used Genshi. XHTML+XML allows WYSIWYG editors to silently ignore the py: attributes and allows you to provide dummy content for the template which will then get overridden.

It's nice when you can preview every template in your templates folder in a simple web browser without any template parsing. ;)
