To give a prompt feedback to this thread [1] from year 2006 web.py is now 
in ports. Macports' users please test it and report any issue on the trac 
system at [2].

On a side note I used the tar archive available in tags on github's 
repository rather than the file suggested at install page [3] since the 
latter doesn't have any accessory file like LICENSE and Changelog.
I think the two archive files should be made the same or the former should 
have something in its name stating it's stripped, that is ready for 
embedding in an app.
