The editorial list probably would come a little later but not too far behind.
I believe apart from the introduction we should also take the time to discuss some core planning. Just enough to establish a basic 1 year roadmap so to say on how we will get this rolling. It gives us an opportunity to return to the community what activities and engagements we see occurring quickly and those coming up soon. Later on we should plan out some long term goals. Hopefully it will bring some consistency out of the confusion that some people might see going on. Examples of these things we need to quickly plot out and set controls around are: 1. Website Refacing / Rebranding 2. Content Management / Editorials 3. TLD usage, site strategy, and transparency (.Com for distribution and final release materials, .Org for community controlled / experimental material) 4. Idea submissions I am not one to force process on anybody but I think some minor/moderate form of planning and control is needed. The rest left to the people. It gives us something to work for and work to. --Ron -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Alysson Troffer Sent: Wednesday, April 30, 2008 1:03 PM To: Michelle Olson Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [website-discuss] community group proposal: approved! Michelle, this is great news. I'd like to have a conference call to get acquainted with folks. At what point do we set up the website-editorial list?
