Yes, they do.  Jive isn't open source, so the intention is to replace it 
at some point.  As you've identified, the main problem with the current 
MailMan/Jive setup is that they both think that they 'own' the lists, 
and stuff sometimes gets lost between the two.  There are rumours of a 
web interface to allow you to post to MailMan, but I haven't seen it 
appear yet.

I've used it too and I agree it is nice.  However it seems a bit slow 
(just tried starting it, it took 40 seconds to display the search 
screen), and I don't know that it is open source.  I'd be interested to 
hear of any experiences people have had with other mailing 
list/forum/archive tools.
