-------- Original Message -------- Subject: [advocacy-discuss] Opensolaris.org "News" WTF?? Date: Fri, 11 Jul 2008 15:36:03 -0700 (PDT) From: Tim Scanlon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Why is there nothing but smears in the "News" section? Did some bright light pick these "stories" out or are these results a combination of automation and apathy? There's no excuse for this, really. I went and read some of the ignorant vomit posing as "News" and was appalled to find the material linked was profoundly uninformed as well as very, very negative towards OpenSolaris. It seemed more like a set of Ubuntu banner ads than credible coverage from normally biased media sources. I don't know who is supposed to be responsible for this, but to be very clear, I have a huge difference of opinion about the management of this material. I would encourage others to check that crap out and perhaps consider why it might be a very bad idea to manage this information in the manner it currently is, or by the persons responsible for this material.
