It's, um, different...

But it does capture some of the things that I think we need to do. It's cleaner,
more focussed, and doesn't have pages of stuff below the fold that nobody will
every get to.

I agree with most of Dan's comments.

There are a couple of things that look wrong to me. The top nav
(codereview...planet)
doesn't look right. And it mean that you have 3 navigational areas
(top nav; icon bar;
left nav). Then the page looks unbalanced, with the left nav looking
short and with wasted
space under it.

Putting those top navigational links into the left nav (which would
need a bit of rework
to make it all go together) would cut the number of navigational
entities from 3 to 2,
and would build up the left navigation to better balance the page, so
would solve both
those problems in one go.
