I gues the backdoor you are worrying about really exists. And I am
quite sure it is inside most if not all APPROVED OSes which you fetch
in binary form.

So if you want something trustworthy, then use only and alone
self-compiled stuff. This obviously excludes whatever form of
binary-only components, which you would normally.
