Most of us will have no problem with the embedded video, but I suggest
also adding a link to an Ogg version of it for our friends who won't
use non-Free formats.

Some quick feedback:
o The embedded video is important and I didn't have a problem with
Firefox 3.0.6 or Safari 3.2.1 on MacOS. This adds pizzaz to the
feature much more so than the graphic.
o If you end up using a static picture then have it link someplace
useful.
o The Tesla Youtube Channel needs to be updated with at least one
additional youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6t3bRzZjdI)
from the IDF.
o There needs to be a topline message about Tesla that ties everything
together. E.g. "The OpenSolaris Tesla Project is focused on bringing
power efficiency on desktops to servers without impacting
performance."
o A quote from the community would be cool as well.
o Lastly there should be a stronger call to action beyond join the
discussion (although that is important) would like more coding
contributions. :)

I have to say that I am not thrilled with embedded flash in this
context. In my browser (FF3.0), the page initially loads with the
feature box outsized, and the top half empty except for a box with
the flash logo in it. After clicking on the flash logo, the box
resizes and the text collapses to be on the right of the flash
video instead of below it. I don't know why the text formatting re-
renders like that, but it is not very pretty before that.
Brian, thanks for your time to review the feature spot for PM. I've
re-worked the spot to use a static graphic here:

home_page_draft_27a/
However, because you are the only person who voiced an issue with
the embedded video in this context and since the comments related
to display in IE7 and Chrome were positive, I tend to think that we
could go ahead and go live with the embedded video spot late on
Tuesday, 2.24 without too many complaints.
I'll go with whatever the majority of reviewers feel is best. Let
me know what you think.
Thanks,
Michelle
