Interesting, I hit reload a couple of times, and the error message is gone !?!
The "OpenSolaris.org is currently down for maintenance." page that was
served during yesterday's site maintenance had a "last modified date" of
2008-8-15, so firefox probably decided that it doesn't have to reload that
page, since it hadn't changed in the last 7 months...
about:cache on a second system that is still showing the cached data
returnes this (note the "expires" three weeks into the future):
Thanks for the input. I'll see if I can tweak the web server the next
time we show the maintenance page to hopefully keep browsers from
caching the page.
