I take that back...as it would appear you did login and enable your
alias. Not enough coffee and there was a clump of similar unsub
BYBOUNCE notices from other vanity aliases who haven't logged in
yet so I spoke too soon.
Thanks, I was already looking everywhere and wondering if just a
small drop of Absolut Raspberry could make emails disappear :-)
If it could, we'd be in big trouble ;)
Going through the logs, it would appear that you accumulated a high-
enough bounce score in mailman and you only logged in today on auth
so the accumulated bounces on some of the lists prior to your
logging in and enabling your alias were enough to unsub you from
them. Since you logged in, this shouldn't be a problem. I've also
sent another notice to the 25 or so folks who still have disabled
aliases.
Hmmmm, ok, but I had connected several times on auth in the last ten
days (lucky I did take my netbook when travelling abroad!), as I was
checking the French translations. I did check that the box was
ticked for email redirection. Anything special that happens on the
14th of the month, at 5pm GMT? One of the mailman crontab entries
that only runs every two weeks?
No, I should clarify that you must login /and/ validate your account
for the email forward to be re-enabled. It's a new system and I didn't
understand that you might be able to login without first validating.
There also may be a few people who received an email about their
aliases this morning in err since I did a flat compare on the old and
new tables which didn't account for those who changed their email
addresses when they validated their account so they should disregard
the reminder. Also, they may experience the unsubscribing behaviour as
you did given the bounce score accumulation before validating their
accounts.
Glad it works for you now.
