Website Community Conference Call: 8/27/09: Notes

Participants: Elaine Ashton, John Beck, Peter Tribble, Jim Walker. A few
others who I didn't get their names clearly or who didn't identify
themselves. Approximately 10 people on the call.
Topic: Review of website transition project. Phase 1 and 2 updates,
schedule change for the P2 final XWiki move, content migrations in
Aug/Sept, URL redirects, URL hierarchy, summary, questions.

Discussion: Peter Tribble asked about hub system performance, which was
addressed by Derek/Elaine. Peter subsequently posted details to
website-discuss, and discussion is taking place there. Peter also asked
about the URL hierarchy and the use of the name hub for the XWiki
portion of the site. Derek answered by saying we are constrained by
technical issues with the current portal application and that this
strategy offers us flexibility for the future. Also, we'd look into
further clarifying the strategy if needed. JBeck offered to help mediate
if there were issues on the website transition. No further questions or
comments. Call ended at 45 mins after the hour. We agreed to one final call.
