While updating list settings in the mailman administrative interface today, I noticed that the list of addresses we can provide for non-subscribers allowed to post to the list can include names of other mailing lists on the mailman installation:
accept_these_nonmembers (privacy): List of non-member addresses whose postings should be automatically accepted. Postings from any of these non-members will be automatically accepted with no further moderation applied. Add member addresses one per line; start the line with a ^ character to designate a regular expression match. A line consisting of the @ character followed by a list name specifies another Mailman list in this installation, all of whose member addresses will be accepted for this list.
Ideally we'd be able to do @* to allow cross posting between any lists - does anyone know if that's possible or what the syntax would be? If not, what about making a autogenerated list, like the core-contributors list, but which blocks all e-mails and just exists to be added as @opensolaris-subscribers to the other lists accept lists - the set of all opensolaris.org account holders would probably be too large, but perhaps the concatenation of all addresses subscribed to at least one opensolaris.org mailing list would be workable? -- -Alan Coopersmith- [email protected] Sun Microsystems, Inc. - X Window System Engineering _______________________________________________ website-discuss mailing list [email protected]
