Assuming my guesswork as to the root of this problem is correct, is there anything that can be done about it, or is Jive pretty much being left to rot now?

Who is 'we', and how are you reading my emails? The links show up just
fine in Thunderbird, Evolution and Apple Mail, for me.

If you're reading on the forums, it's a bug in the forum software--
looks like it's unable to cope with the widely-used convention of
enclosing hyperlinks in angle brackets...
