Thanks for the confirmation. I've got a 3rd one from the same domain,
but that was it. Might be worth checking globally, if there are still
people in charge of running those systems.

IMO these are bots, preparing an attack. My guess is that this is a
variation of the russian спаленої землі attack spammer, which was
derived from zeusmail. It's used to take down sites by replaying old
mails (from the same or related lists, so spam filters will not
trigger) over, and over again. This is a very dangerous threat.
