Just turn on revisions for a page/book and it tracks revisions. Add the diff module and you get side by side comparisons. Yes. You need to configure Drupal, its essentially like a set of legos with different pieces. IMHOP your doing a project that you obviously care about a huge disservice by sending them to Silverstripe. GO look at the sites made with it, they are fundamentally simple sites with limited or no functionality beyond basic content management, which Drupal does well at. I really can't find one thats beyond a simple CMS setup or Blog. IF you only have a limited amount of time and resources then why choose something that will ultimately not serve as many purposes as possible. I use Drupal because it economizes my time by providing a common platform to solve many different problems. I like the fact that I can customize it to meet my needs easily. If I need something I turn it on, if I don't I turn it off. I can totally control every aspect of the CMS. As far as a learning curve... I can teach just about anyone how to be very fluent in basic drupal config in about two hours. If your trying to save yourself a few hours of learning by choosing something simple like silver stripe and potentially limiting your overall ability to meet the needs of your project then I don't know if that is a very wise decision to make. Please, seriously, find a site on this showcase that is not dead simple: http://www.silverstripe.org/community-showcase/ Go look at the list of top of the line high traffic sites with a lot of functionality that use Drupal: http://buytaert.net/tag/drupal-sites IF you want to have a dead simple website then go use silverstripe and hope someone makes some modules in the future. Otherwise, go with something that is proven to work day in and day out in some of the most complex and highly trafficked websites around. -- *Thought Farm Productions <http://www.thoughtfarmproductions.com> thoughtf...@thoughtfarmproductions.com* *(201) 691-7057* -- E-mail to website+h...@libreoffice.org for instructions on how to unsubscribe List archives are available at http://www.libreoffice.org/lists/website/ All messages you send to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
