Christian can you provide the simple way to use it ?
I have upload 2 images the small and the big , I need to make the small
link to big and how choose the colorbox is the style , format or I
need to add it by hand ?

Oh, no, the difference is that with the colorbox page, you stay on the
same site, and the larger/original version of the image is displayed
in a overlay/in-page-popup (did you click on it? or did you disable
javascript? When javascript is disabled, then yes, there is no
difference)
But I don't see what is the difference
(well I was lazy enough to not look at the implementation) but unless the
presentation in line (that may be the boxes) is there differences? And why
is it named colorbox?
colorbox is the name of the specific javascript-popup implementation I did use.
