The 'tabula rasa' approach is what openSUSE has chosen a year or so ago, and it was deadly annoying. I mean really REALLY _REALLY_ annoying for all. Even now you can find documentation in packages pointing to non-existing wiki pages etc. From my point of view, it is better to live with few (hundreds of?) redirects, than deciding that "we will do it right this time" - and annoy everyone by not being able to find the article she/he was used to have at some location for ages [OK, for a year in our case ;-)]. If I can vote, please, migrate everything, including the logins, existing articles with history etc. if at all possible, and move the pages around to achieve the new structure, with appropriate redirects in place, all this transparently for the users. For the language pages, to avoid hundreds of Article/<language>/Something redirects, we can do a simple extension that will redirect to the appropriate <language>.wiki.libreoffice.org - I have written a similar extension for the wikihelp, and can provide that. > @Kendy: Shall we integrate the help wiki into that, or is it better to > have it hosted separately as it is now? Better to have the wikihelp separate, so far it is still not supposed to be an editable wiki; may change in the future, but other possibilities are to be sought too (like eg. Mozilla came up with a similar help system, that uses the Wiki markup too, need to check how it progressed recently).
