Hi. Someone might judge me as unfair in some cases, but I just really want to see this project succeed, so bare with me.
Anyway, I do have some things to pick on regarding the current situation with SilverStripe CMS. One of the greatest problems with the current situation is the nature of the CMS, which obviously is not designed to be very dynamic and thus a lot of the time it requires access to the server it runs on, and write access to its files. This is a major problem if something needs to be fixed ASAP and there's no one around with access to do so. It also makes maintainers less independent and leaves unnecessary work to people who probably could have done without it. Two examples would be the widget page RSS and Twitter capabilities. Both of these are impossible to edit for an NL administrator. It might be that this must be added individually in each project, but this is less than ideal and not how it's done in general. I therefore propose either approaching the SilverStripe devs and confront them with the limitations, or move over to another system with a lot of reference users. – Olav -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [email protected] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/website/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
