thanks for the report! I now disabled the WYSIWYG editor.

I just noticed this thread on the WYSIWYG editor.
It's a shame that it has been disabled without further investigating the
problem with it. Is there a way to install it in such a way as to allow
it for some users and not for others. I for one used it extensively when
it was on the wiki, and yes, it did have some quirks, but once you got
used to it it allowed you to do all of the proper editing without any
problems. I found it misbehaved the most when you tried to edit complete
pages that had not been broken up in sections (title sections etc.). Or
worse, when people just ignored editing in sections and got into the
habit of going into editing large developed pages at a time.
A WYSIWYG editor will always help in community building, and, allowing
members easy access to creating/editing pages on our wiki. Is there a
newer version of the editor available? It seems to me that allowing more
people access to our wiki pages would help create a larger and
cooperative community rather than concentrating on the few who are great
at wiki code.
It's kind of ironic when we are the largest "WYSIWYG document creator"
project in the world and we are incapable of using a wiki system that
makes use of a WYSIWYG editor. Strange. Maybe with the amount of dev
expertise, that, some of our devs would be interested in taking a look
at the problem areas of the wiki WYSIWYG editor and improve on it? Or
perhaps move to a wiki variant that makes use of a WYSIWYG editor (if
such a beast exists)?
Cheers,
Marc
