The Google Calendar wiki extension was recently installed on the wiki
and a LibreOffice International Calendar was created both for testing
and usage. You can find the calendar on this wiki page[1]. I've input
some of the upcoming date into the calendar.
When we go online with this page in the wiki IMHO a normal user should
not be able to change this page but only admins.
The calendar is not managed through the website but at the Google
Calendar site. The calendar admin has sharing rights and can add more
sub-admins to help admin the calendar. I think the marketing team will
be able to manage the international calendar and I have left a note on
the marketing mailing list calling for help from maybe 5-6 people who
would be interested in helping to manage the calendar.[3]
The next question will be:
"Can I put it on my own "Thunderbird (or something else)" calendar? If
so, the link and a short "HowDo" should be implemented."
If you mean if the calendar can be added to the Thunderbird+Lightning
combo", yes, the calendar is public and the link will be published as
soon as I get the OK from the website-devs about the <iframe> use with
SilverStripe. There are really 2 Google calendars involved in this.
I'll leave notes on the wiki EventsCalendar page[1] on the public link
and various setups once all is approved by the marketing and website teams.
Let's set it up first and then go with a more public announcement.
Cheers,
Marc
