Hi Erich,
I am mailing this to the website list as well. I think you just forgot
to mail to the website list.

True, so what would you imagine?
We'd have to say something like ui_DE and ui_EN to avoid the confusion
which trapped you just before ... and maybe adopt the 'multilang' part.
I'm not convinced though that 'ui' is somewhat familiar for too many
users so how would you want to make it more obvious for visitors?
Erich
I am just suggesting that the DE DVD could be renamed so that the UI
language is evident in the title. For example, the 3.6 german dvd,
instead of being "LibO-3.6.0-1_DVD_allplatforms_de.iso" could be renamed
to "LibO-3.6.0-1_Deutch_DVD_allplatforms_de.iso". This is similar to the
EN DVD name where it is called "LO-3.5.5.1_English-NA-DVD ..." where the
UI language figures prominently in the title.
I am also suggesting that for the groups producing DVD's we could surely
come up with a naming convention for the LibreOffice DVD's to help users
pick out the DVD for which they are looking more easily. Some obvious
examples being:
"LibO-3.x.x.x_Deutch_DVD ..."
"LibO-3.x.x.x_English_DVD ..."
"LibO-3.x.x.x_Francais_DVD ..."
"LibO-3.x.x.x_Portugues_DVD ..."
Also note, that months ago, we had a discussion on the short form of
LibreOffice and that LibO was the one favoured and accepted as the short
form. We have also reserved some "LibO" domain names. So, in keeping
with this, we could stick with a naming convention that includes "LibO".
For example: "LibOCon.org, com, net, org" have been reserved and they
point to our conference website.
Cheers,
Marc
