Whether we want it or not, the wiki should be edited by more people and more contributors. But wiki syntax is definitely not something widely known and we want to lower the barriers of participation. If we take the editor away you can say goodbye to marketing and artwork contributions for instance, and in the end it might end up with two wikis, one official and an unofficial one, just because the former would be used by a few while the latter would be used by the majority.
