Hello,
for quite a while, I have been configuring my favorite e-mail client,
Mozilla Thunderbird, in a way that helps me to deal with massive
amounts of e-mail. I'd like to share my collected settings for those
who are suffering from loads of e-mail like I do, hoping that it might
provide you some comfort.

Thanks for sharing you configuration files.
I have been using Thunderbird for years.
The only thing I really deal with is creating inbox Local folders that I
direct my know email addresses to, and then "TO: email address" to.
Each list I deal with has its own "Local Folder" listing. Each
organization I work with has one. Then there are misc. folders based on
the email address used, like a folder for e-newsletters.
I never directly edited the "user.js" or userContent.css" before.
How easy was it to find the documentation needed to understand how to
directly edit these files?
BUT
the real advantage of Thunderbird, for me, is the ability to direct my
incoming emails to their proper folders. When you have 12 email
addresses that can be access by the client, it helps to have these
folders and message filters to direct the incoming emails from a generic
inbox to multiple folders instead.
I just wish I could get TB to access my web based email accounts that I
keep forgetting I have and rarely check anymore.
