i thought torrent was a peer-to-peer download mechanism.....
and therfore not measurable at one place how many downloads there are...

Even if only some people download it from openoffice.org, other might be downloading it from my torrent-client which, i think, is not counted at the central server ;)

I dont see a 'real' point in measuring, if you start using words as 'approximative' and 'guesstimate'... ;)
