This note is mostly for Erich,

For the last 2 years, there has been a problem with our readme file in our installation packages. The readme file has a sentence that re-directs our users to a http://libreoffice/welcome/helpme.html page that does not exist.

Our version of SilverStripe does NOT allow to add suffixes to its pages (but SilverStripe 3.X does). I realized this when I tried to create the page, it turn the ".html" into "-html".

So, there is now a bug out to try to correct this[1] and I am proposing that we NOT use the last link but that we now use a more appropriate SilverStripe page here "https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/readme"; or just not have a "readme" page on our site and remove the sentence from the "readme" file. The QA people will eventually close the bug with a decision.

In the meantime, we have all the past versions of LibreOffice pointing to the page that does not exit.

Erich: Could you put a redirect of request of http://www.libreoffice.org/welcome/readme.html to https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/readme on our site? The SilverStripe forums suggested that one way to do this is through our .htaccess. You would also have to comment on it that the redirect should not be removed till we are certain that legacy versions of LibreOffice are no longer used.

It looks like this will still be in LibreOffice v.4.0 unless QA changes it.

Or would you have any other suggestion?

The bug can be found here: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54206. BTW ... the wrong link also shows in all readme for all languages; so, the readme points to a wrong page for a large number of people who choose it.
