OK
it is working now.
Must have been something going wrong with the connection from USA to Europe.
I started out fine, then it went along for a bit OK, then it started to
go down in upload speed. Withing minutes there was almost no uploading
going on. Then nothing.
I am using "rsync -aP" so there is some info on bandwidth but I use a
desktop utility [gkrellm] and have it show the desktop's "eth0"
bandwidth. When it got down to under 1K for a few minutes, and then 0K,
I knew something was wrong. I even restarted my cable-modem and Ubuntu
desktop before I retried the upload. No good. That is when I sent the
email.
Of course, it is a 3.7GB .iso file for the NA-DVD 4.1.4 that I am
uploading. After being sick for most of the month and in hospital[s]
for a bit of that, plus waiting for the 4.1.4 portable version[s] to be
on the "Portable page", I finally was able to finish the .iso file.
With my upload bandwidth, it can take 4 to 6 hours to upload. Sometime
before Spring, my bandwidth will be reduced since the special pricing
package will be over and I cannot afford the higher bandwidth. At that
point, it will take about 10 to 12 hours to upload, if all thing go well.

is the server I upload to [kermit] for the .iso files "down"?
I am getting no upload bandwidth to the server now.
Was doing fine, then nothing.
Restarted the uploading and nothing.
Florian and Christian are on vacation, so the answer will have some
delay...
