But that's only one part of the whole picture. The updated/new extensions website has not be created only it need maintenance from at least two volunteers or a service provider and a member of the infra team in the know. Then there is the content of the current site that had to be migrated to the new environment. This has to be done manual or scripted. The first alternative will need at least ten or more volunteers to do the work. > Best, > > Charles. > > > Le 2014-02-12 12:05, Philipp Weissenbacher a écrit : >> Hey Andreas, >> >> Indeed, it does sound more user-friendly like that. I got only my hands a bit dirty in a first steps workshop. But I have no experience in developing for Django or the administration of that CMS. I also don't know how fine grained the user administration and the permissions are. I'm also not happy to create a dependency from an addon that nobody from our project could maintain (not had to but could). But that's only my personal opinion. >> IMHO they already have a lot of features we'd also like, plus there's a >> shared maintenance cost. >> It's based on Django, however. Once we have that fixed we could think about the implementation (and the CMS/product). I'm open for every volunteer who wants to develop/setup a new extensions site and maintain it. I've done that for the last three and a half year yet.
