Indeed, that has *nothing* to do with the Web site nor pending release of 5.1 ;-) The "5" design was adopted coincident with release of 5.0, and that design was result of an initial design contest and then a formal tender. No reason to think the design/branding would not remain valid for duration of the 5.x cycle, and remain present in the Start Center as well as prominent in the about dialog. Sorry that you personally find it "stupid"--but there it is. It is unlikely to be changed and will have additional marketing built around it. Who knows, maybe it will grow on you. Then perhaps you'll be there with a design for the 6.0 release when call for that comes around in about 24 months.
