Not yet. He just communicates that he is thinkging about shutting it down/at least partially. I think there is no problem in shutting down t he webinterface part. I personally never find that easy to use, at least I'm always annoyed when a google search points to gmane and then you have to click around to see the thread and the whole post - it just had too many different views. Of course the nntp bridge is the one thing that makes it unique, and I don't think theres's any other service that would offer NNTP access to mailinglists. We have our own archives, use mail-archive.com (for which we even put a link to the post in the archive in the message header, so when you have the mail locally and want to point someone else to it you can copy the link from the message, and don't need to search in webinterface, e.g. http://go.mail-archive.com/XRjfH0ooZGZ6DHAF9JOdK9BChgo= is link to your message) and nabble, so there's no loss of information in case gmane really shuts down, just ciao Christian -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: [email protected] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/website/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
