Hey guys, are you trying to kill LibreOffice? You are doing great job with
LO, but all user experience is very poor (don't misanderstand, oldschool
GUI - without ribbon, is great. I've ment this catalog or ie output of
Impress - when you compare it with Powerpoint or some webbased
applications, output from Impress is not very pleasing and lacking some
feaures like embeded video (ie from youtube)). Main Web ( http://
www.libreoffice.org/
<http://lm.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.libreoffice.org%2F&h=IAQFd0QQy&enc=AZPlJ1U3fLHBVETG0uIaf_bXHuxjq68wDRNi2uwVDuK3zu1x8dzSSjg1gwATikDhKGU&s=1>
 ) is better now, but this one ...

Have you seen any catalog like application (webbased / desktop) in last
decade? Take a look at your biggest concurent template catalog ( https://
templates.office.com/
<https://lm.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftemplates.office.com%2F&h=4AQHOwUTu&enc=AZPbzN1guerpB7OlbfU84rSmrGBbxpAqtMuYRBnpBjkeBXXH_Mr088nliAK18SFPjlc&s=1>
)
- simple, clean, easy to understand and orient. Take a look at some eshop.
Take a look at Google Play Store, ...

You guys have good technical skills, but you are lacking some "soft skills"
(yeah not exactly right expressions). I mean in Open Source world there is
plenty of good designers and user experience experts. Please do us favor
and ask one of them and redesign that template / extension catalog.

Those were my first thoughts I've posted as comment under your post about
this redesigned web at Facebook (without reaction, so I am trying here).

Let me show you my mindflow when I want to find some template:
The first thing I need to know, how it looks (especially in presentation
slides, but in general as well). The second thing I am interested in is for
what module the template is. This doesn't need to be shown, but is nice to
filter it - if I am looking for templates for Impress, I would like to have
an option to show templates only for Impress, etc. Secondary things are
template name and rating. All other things are not necessary at the catalog
/ list view and can be shown after clicking in detail view.

There are similar negative opinions at Czech LO site, even some like "the
person who approved this had to be drunk".

Can you consider to redesign it again with more user friendly approach?

Thanks a lot, Michal Vašut.
