I got a message from Evgeny, who wants to look into this this week finally, so we hopefully have a solution soon. Sorry for the inconveniences.
a quick update: Evgeny is investigating further, as there seems to be no clear pattern yet that triggers the issue. Mails see to be generated properly during his tests and delivered by the mail server. I'll keep you posted - sorry for the inconveniences.
