The specifications are the bare minimum for RAM and Processor speed.
"256 MB RAM (512 MB RAM recommended)" is too small for ease of use. Yes
it will run, but slower than many people would like.
I would not recommend having other software/packages running in the
background on the lower speed processors and under 1GB of RAM. They
should be closed, not just minimized.

We are lucky that the graphics resolution is "X Server with 1024x768
resolution (higher resolution recommended), with at least 256 colors".
I use a package called "DeVeDe" and the resolution needs to be much
larger. I have a laptop with "1366x768" as the maximum resolution.
DeVeDe needs something like 1600x900 since the height is needed to
access some control buttons [like cancel] at the bottom of its "GUI
Window". So if you edit the menu options, you cannot do anything else,
with the controls not acessible to the user and they need to shut the
system down to "force close" the package.
