To reiterate, on OpenSolaris (or Nevada), the Web Stack ruby is the one integrated in the system already, via SUNWruby18. The Solaris 10 backport of this ruby [and all other Web Stack components] is only meant to run on Solaris 10. Maybe that S10 package also runs on Nevada, but it is neither supposed to work nor supported.
