Frankly, we didn't expect some one to try Open Web Server on HP-UX !. 
Glad to know that you are doing so and we very much appreciate your effort.

Though, you are free to maintain a fork, we would be happy to make Open 
Web Server build successfully on HP-UX (at least on PA-RISC) hardware. 
Now, for IA-64 (Itanium), the reason that web server is not supported is 
mostly because of the underlying libraries like NSS/NSPR has not yet 
been made available for IA-64 :-(
