As most of you know, for months I have been mentioning the need for a
package repository for "experimental" (in-development, early-access,
prototypes, etc) packages so we can do some real-world testing of the
component *before* having to close on the ARC case and doing the final,
formal, integration.

I'm happy to announce that now we have an IPS repository available for
such experimental Web Stack content. For those of you not following my
blog, the info is here:

http://blogs.sun.com/jyrivirkki/entry/experimental_web_stack_repository

Tonight it only contains an early prototype of the phpMyAdmin package,
but I expect additional experimental content to follow in the near future.

For upcoming components (possibilities recently mentioned here include
phpPgAdmin, Drupal, Hudson and many others) I expect we'll have
installable packages available early in the design cycle so we can all
actually try them out well before the design is frozen..
