I should rephrase that, maybe say that the paths are also delivered by 
the Lighttpd packages.

I don't think that that's the case, many IPS packages share paths and 
can be installed independently.

It does ultimately, but until we can extract spawn-fcgi from 
SUNWlighttpd* then they are kind of joined at the hip. Maybe the 
spawn-fcgi package can deliver symlinks to /usr/bin and /usr/share/man 
which will mean that no knowledge of Lighttpd was required to use 
spawn-fcgi but it would maintain the interfaces that the Lighttpd Arc 
case delivered.
