Hi
 Unfortunately, with OpenSolaris 2008.11 netbeans and tomcat does not 
work out of the box. This question has been raised before and please 
file the below link where Peter has provided a work around (scroll 
through to the last post)

 I guess, the same work around can apply in your environment as well
