Hi Yall! I have spent several hours trying to get the MySql in SXDE client to fire up. The svcadm command "svcadm enable http22 mysql" works without complaint. The ps command does not show mysql running. I have searched searched Google and changed the permissions or the folder "/var/mysql...... " to 777, I have created the user mysql, the group mysql and gave ownership of the /var/mysql... directories and file to the group.
mysqld_safe returns a starting mseeage and then fails about the /var/data file. I am stumped.
