> Marc, why you are feeling doubts? when I test German pages under Linux, my reports are correct if I set LANG to ISO8859-1 before running the tests but contain wrong characters if the LANG is UTF-8 (which is the default). The fix I've proposed at the beginning of this thread solves this problem and make my reports look correctly no matter what the value of LANG is.
Have you already tried to write your "chinese hieroglyphs" directly in your ant scripts, setting the right xm encoding and without using native2ascii?
