Hi,

have you already seen my WebTestRecorder? See http://www.nabble.com/WebTest-Recorder-for-Firefox-tf1511374.html for explanations.

I'm about to integrate it as subproject of WebTest (space has already been prepared by Canoo and I "only" have to check it in now) and would be glad to welcome contributors.

Personally I've started looking at Selenium IDE (in the time it was called Selenium recorder) and decided that it was easier to make a dedicated recorder for WebTest rather than to work on the export functionality.

Marc.

Hi All,
Only few minutes were sufficient for me to realize that Selenium, and
particularly his IDE for Firefox, seems to be a very promising tool.
I'm interestd from a lot of time in tools for recording and re-play web
navigation, expecially coupled with Canoo-WebTest and Firefox, so I explored
some of them as Calypso (by Mastek, today an obsolete tool) or TestGen4Web
(by Spikesource, which has some weakness toward the WebTest-coupling). I did
some changes to the TestGen4Web too, obtaining a more suitable version in
such a way; now I will try to write some code to get Selenium more closed
to Canoo-WebTest (Selenium "Formats" ?)(perhaps by XSLT
scripts-transformation).
If I get some useful result I'll say you all about.
Bye,
Vito Caleandro
